I downloaded the new version, now have a bar across the top of my screen, and randomly i get some kind of ads launching, pretty bad for a work computer!
it seems to be a Lexus ad that comes on, I just get 10 or so seconds, then it stops. I dont have any tabs open that might be playing the ad

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.
