unable to get asps browser running im firefox

more options

I installed artistscope web browser (ASPS web browser) and it seems to be running but when I go to https://electricalexam.ca/index.php/module-2-309a-2012 or any of their pages . where there should be a button to install the software or view the page . that section of the page is blank . so it sort of looks like the ASPS software isn't running , but the diagnostics in the ASPS says it is running.

My antivirus software is turned off My firewall is turned off

The ASPS browser diagnostics says:

64bit Windows Program Files folder is: C:\Program Files Common Files folder is: C:\Program Files\Common Files Support files installed Support files are version 4.7.1.2 Service detected CopySafe services diagnostics tests passed

running windows 7 Professional with service pack 1 Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790 CPU @3.6GHZ installed memory 16.0GB System type is 64-bit operating system

any ideas ? Kevin

It's a plugin, and their download page looks for it using this string:

"ArtistScope Web Reader Launcher 5"

If you use my test page, does it show that you have that plugin active, either "Always Activate" or "Ask to Activate" (my test page can't tell the difference)?

https://jeffersonscher.com/res/jstest.php (scroll down to the plugins section)

If it shows up on the test page, the next question is:

On the site where it isn't working, are you getting a plugin notification icon in the address bar? It's usually appears to the left of the address and looks a bit like a small Lego block. Click that to see whether Firefox needs approval to run the plugin or whether it is supposed to be already running.

Or you might want to switch the plugin to "Always Activate" on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Plugins. On the right side, look for ArtistScope and switch it from "Ask to Activate" to "Always Activate".

That might not take effect in existing windows, so test in a new window (Ctrl+n).
