Firefox doesn't answer questions and what it does give you is wrong

Firefox crashed on me and all my information is lost. It automatically defaulted to the Mozilla page. My version also has no help in menu so unable to use the restore to get back information. Have tried and been successful in finding the back up file through windows search, but there doesn't seem to be anyway to restore info. What I am really after is details I had stored in a program Firefox suggested. There was a little square in the right top side to activate it..but I can't find it anywhere. It had phone numbers, appointments etc.

Are you still using the previously used default profile folder?
