Account does not sync
Hello,
after a rollback of my home system I looged into my Mozilla account to find out nothing synced over from the previous version that was installed on the same machine.
How can I recover everything (priority on passwords)
Best, Sebastian

Hello,
It is most likely that your data is still there.
First, check if there is an alternate local profile. Go to about:profiles, and then look at the list of profiles. If you see another one that is not in use, possibly named "default or default-release", try launching it. If your bookmarks/passwords return,
If a second profile doesn't appear, you can do a manual recover. First, go to ~/.mozilla/firefox/ (Linux). Then, look for multiple folders ending in suffixes like .default or .default-release, and check if the date is older than your current profile. Make sure to also check the folder named "Old Firefox data", as your data might be stored in there.
When replacing the files, look for these : Passwords & Logins logins.json AND key4.db (You must copy both; key4.db is the encryption key) Bookmarks & History places.sqlite
Then, replace them on the "new profile" Firefox created in the file directory.
Hi and thank you for the reply,
I think I expressed myself poorly when I said I did a rollback. What I meant was that I wiped my drives and did a fresh install of the OS, so when I installed FF it was a fresh install on an empty system where no older files were present.
Thank you again & Best regards
Hello,
Since it is a fresh install, the local files are gone. You can still retrieve your data if you had sync on multiple devices with a Mozilla account.
