Over the past few weeks some web sites have not been working properly on my PC. The site will open but I am unable to open individual pages within the site. This has occurred only on a few web sites, such as the UK met office, while other sites, such as XC weather, are unaffected. I have tried the web sites in another profile, using private browsing and refreshing Firefox but there is no change. However, if I open the Mozilla VPN and then try the problem goes away. The web sites also work correctly when using the Edge browser and when using Firefox on my laptop and mobile.

I get "This browser version is no longer supported. Please upgrade to a supported browser." when I open Gmail in Firefox. I have version 156.01 on windows. Have been getting the message since Sept 1 or so. Otherwise, FireFox seems to work OK. But some websites do not work properly with it like Home Depot and the City Of Brockton website, I have to use chrome to access them.

I have a file that has been deleted by cleaning disk space, and then I cleaned my recycle bin. The file it wants is a Norton.file

How can I find the file and remove it so I can uninstall Chrome?

When I start Firefox, open the application menu, and select Bookmarks, about 50 Bookmarks are displayed under "Recent bookmarks". Many of the bookmarks are not recent. Some are months old and several might be years old.

I've used Firefox for years and only noticed this because I'm trying to help a friend who is having trouble with and old Windows 10 laptop. I installed Firefox 1560.1 (64bit) and added a lot of folders and bookmarks using "Manage bookmarks" or Ctrl-Shift-o. It currently only has 42 bookmarks displayed under "Recent Bookmarks" because I started Rt-clicking and deleting them before I figured that this deletes the bookmark that I had added to a folder in addition to removing it from the Recent bookmark list.

I feel this feature (Recent Bookmarks) totally negates the privacy and security that the Clear Browsing data and Never remember history options USED to give me.

I routinely check out several local news outlets' websites and for the last 2-3 weeks, since a Firefox update (using FF 156.0.1 (64-bit) on Win11, v25H2, Build 26200.9550) I keep getting a Norton popup box saying "we prevented your connection to <x> because it is a malicious website", where 'X' is either littlestastronaut.com, or something like planted.com (screenshots of Norton popup windows doesn't work). This doesn't happen with any of the other couple dozen websites I visit, just 2 out of the maybe 5 or 6 different news websites I look at. Odd thing is I look up either of these two 'dangerous' websites and they either don't exist or they are some school related website. That popup comes after I have to select either "continue without ads" or go to the FF address bar and disable the ad-blocking for that site, so I'm thinking that there's maybe something in FF that is causing this? It happens on both of these sites whether I check "continue without ads" or disable the FF ad-blocker which doesn't make sense that that 'malicious site' is contained within an ad on the news site because on one I don't disable ads so it shouldn't even come through but still Norton catches it??? Yes, A-I will one day rule the world....ya-right.

whenever i try to scroll local newspaper of even NY times firefox freezes and i have to reload the page. also on Schwab.com i can not use the pop up quick buy/sell feature as it freezes the page and i can not reload the page of close the page, i have to kill firefox. taht along with the problem of firefox displaying "server unreachable" when MS Edge works just fine. these problems have made firefox unusable to me. I have setup my Firefox browser to start on a number of pages, using the settings provided in the browser. Recently Google / Youtube started complaining, that my browsing is suspicious

"This page appears when Google automatically detects requests coming from your computer network which appear to be in violation of the Terms of Service. The block will expire shortly after those requests stop."

I worked around it, by copying the url and pasting it in the browser again But today, it returns the error no matter how many times I manually paste the url in the browser.

I have effectively been blocked from all my startup Youtube pages

My VPN used to work perfectly with my South African sites. Since I've downloaded the new Beta version of Firefox, things have become unstable, and the South African sites - mainly my dictionaries (which I use daily because I'm a translator) - don't work any more.

South Africa is one of the countries on the list, but when I open the VPN now, it says South Africa is unavailable, which had never been the case before.

Please help me sort it out. I can't take screenshots of the problem. When I go to the country list from the VPN, the dialogue box disappears.

Mine can be perfectly fine after a fresh restart, then after a few days with a bunch of tabs open it starts getting sluggish.

Closing a bunch of tabs helps, but I’m wondering if there’s something else going on. Curious what other people have experienced.

Since I switched my main browser to FireFox, I cannot log in to my Facebook account. It said

Is there anything in the setting I could change to log in to my account here?

Is it just me or is this a Firefox on Mac thing? Whenever I type in a search box on a website like Google or YouTube or whatever and the suggestions pop up, I have to click twice to actually select one. First click does nothing and second click finally works. Same exact sites on Chrome or Brave Origin and one click works right away.

It happens almost everywhere. It is super annoying once you notice it. Is there a setting for this or is it just how Firefox handles things on macOS?
