I use Firefox 24 and have followed all the directions given to me by You Tube in order to lock the website into safe mode on the firefox browser. It works until I close firefox. Once I open it again it doesn't remember the setting and goes back to normal mode. It is supposed to be locked in for that browser until someone logs in under my google account and changes it back. I can lock it in Chrome and IE with no problems. I am about uninstall FIrefox...please help!

Hello Ammonthomas, if you started Firefox in Safe Mode, it will remain in Safe Mode until Firefox is completely closed.

i think an option is to make the site you want (You Tube) one (or the only) homepage and set firefox shortcut to open in safe mode : right-click the firefox shortcut > properties > target > change the target to : "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -safe-mode

BUT firefox with that, always start in safe mode (you lose the normal mode) !!!!

why do you want to run You Tube in safe mode ?

where is the you tube video to lock the site in safe mode ?

thank you

Safe Mode is meant as a diagnostic (test) mode and isn't intended for permanent use.
