I have received messages that say they are the real firefox and request that I click on the links for security etc. -blog.mozilla.the.den are they real or fake?

Pretty much anything mozilla.org should be official.

That is not the website that you posted initially!
https://blog.mozilla.org/theden/ is an official Mozilla website.
