All my toolbar bookmarks have suddenly disappeared and so has the bookmark drop menu and all other drop menus (like 'file', 'edit', 'view' etc). The only thing up top is the google search box and the http: address box. This just happened this evening out of the blue. Have I lost all my bookmarks for good? How do I restore the other drop menus? What do I do?

In earlier versions of Firefox, there was a Status Bar at the bottom of the window. That has been removed and replaced with an Add-ons bar. You can show and hide the Add-ons bar using View > Toolbars.

Tap the Alt key or press F10 to call up the classic menu bar temporarily. To display it full time, use

View > Toolbars > Menu Bar

Using View > Toolbars, you should be able to turn on the other toolbars you want.

Does it work?

(If the menu bar doesn't appear, make sure you aren't in Full Screen mode: press F11 to toggle between regular and Full Screen modes.)

Many thanks for that. (I was in full screen mode!!) but having put that to rights I now find that I still haven't got the tool bar at the bottom. Any ideas?

Many thanks. All seems to be sorted. I like the new layout and the brown drop-down box.
