when i try to open a link for a new window, in the address bar of the new window, i get "search history and bookmarks" instead of the new page. my pop-ups are enabled. please help!

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
