What happens when you click one of the messages?

I can't see any messages. That is the problem.

I meant, what happens when you click one of the entries in the list of 72 messages?

I Can NOT see the messages at all - even the email address of who sent it. All I can see on Thunderbird is the number of messages in a folder so they are being downloaded. I am glad they are staying on the webmail. Right now, I am using webmail. There is NO way I can read who is trying to contact me or read what they want from Thunderbird currently.
