Incoming emails
Two days ago (Aug 10 2025) two email subscriptions came in with empty to and from fields. The email body looked similar to the email text associated with a returned undeliverable email. So far this has happened with only two email subscriptions for the past few days. No other emails are affected. I am able to look at the emails online through my internet providers webmail access and the emails look normal and have, as far as I can determine, originated from the correct websites where they originated. As far as I know nothing has changed on my local computer or my email service. I am running windows 10. I have had Thunderbird for at least the last 15 years.

If you use bitdefender....
Solution update posted at 8:48 Eastern time (12:48 UTC) Thursday by Alexlandru_BD, an admin at bitdefender, "The developers reverted the changes made in the last signature update and this should do the trick until a permanent fix is deployed. Just click on update in systray and reboot once completed. But keep in mind this change is being rolled out gradually, so it may not reach everyone at the same time.." Hello Wayne,
I looked at the update history and found that thunderbird hadn't updated since: Thunderbird 115.2.2 (20230912052425), Installed on: September 15, 2023 at 1:23:40 PM Status The Undate was successfully installed.
I then updated to Thunderbird 140.1.1esr (20250805025534) Installed on: August 13, 2025 at 6:30:04 PM Status: The Update was successfully installed
I don't know how to get you the information you desire other than this.
I don't know how to export the details of each updated.
Thank you for your quick response and help.

Hi Wayne,
Thank you for taking the time to help me. If you hadn't asked for Thunderbird update history, I never would have looked. I assumed it updated automatically. The bitdefender comments were also interesting. I couldn't figure out how to force Bitdefeder update this patch. It must have done the update automatically because the problem apparently is fixed. The emails are no longer messed up.
Thank you again for your time and expertise.
