Thunderbird worked fine for >10 years. All of a sudden it wants me to set it up new.

I have been working with Thunderbird for over 11 years, never had a problem. 2 days ago it wanted me to set it up new completely. All my accounts, folders and data are still on my machine. Setting it up again would be a major pain, as I have lots of mail accounts. Plus I need to access the old data regularly. PC runs Windows 10, 32GB and lots of space on the disks. If I have to set it up new, is there an easy way to import the old data? Thank you Wolf

Could be due to a corrupted prefs.js:
