Hi,

Every time I close the sidebar for bookmarks, it reappears when I open firefox again. I don't want it to appear at all if i can help it. Looking online only seems to show me how to toggle it on and off.

adamgmarchese, normally Firefox launches with the side panel in whatever state it was in (open or closed, showing bookmarks or history etc.) when the last Firefox window was closed in the previous session.

have you tried closing the side panel in all open Firefox windows, before exiting Firefox by, for example, pressing ctrl+shift+Q?

Or closing all but one Firefox window, ensuring that the side panel is not open here, and then closing this last window too?

Current Firefox versions save the sidebar state per window in sessionstore.jsonlz4 as part of session data.
