I installed thunderbird on a second laptop and now have lost all my files, which were extensive, on my first laptop; how do I find them?
The old laptop showed all my files for about one week and then, one morning, just disappeared! It is like the account reverted to the new laptop files. I did not have any personal files set up on it yet. Is there a way to restore my personal files on the first laptop?

Did the missing "files" appear on the new computer?
No. They did not appear on the other laptop.
