Message filtering using the "Body" filter appears to ignore the HTML part of an email(?)

I have been trying to filter out and delete emails with certain URLs in the HTML section of the body of the message.

I can get the Body filter to activate and delete the email if I send the specified URL within a simple text message. So the Body filter can activate on sequences in the text part of a multimode or simple text email.

It doesn't, however, seem to activate for the thing I truly need, which is to see a URL (or other sequence) in the HTML part of a multimode. It appears to ignore the HTML section.

Would it be possible to either:

1) allow the current Body filter to scan all parts of a multimode message? OR

2) create a new filter, perhaps named Rawbody, or Raw, etc., which doesn't break down and separate the parts of a multimode first, but simply does a raw scan of the entire body: text, HTML, and all?

I want to COMPLETELY turn off junk filtering in Thunderbird. I want ALL emails to appear in my Inbox. I want NO junk filtering. TB has started marking many emails as Junk in 1 of my 2 email accounts & automatically moving them to the Junk folder. These emails often are important and should never be classified as Junk. This is a serious problem.

Under Selection in Junk Filtering, I have NOT marked/checked "enable adaptive junk mail controls for this account." Also under Selection in Junk Filtering, I have NOT marked/checked "Trust junk mail set by." Under Destination and Retention, I have NOT marked/checked "Move new junk message to:". HOWEVER, there is a section under this category, i.e., Destination and Retention, for move to "junk folder on rdsurber@charter.net" that is currently marked/checked that I cannot access in order to unmark/uncheck it.

What can I do to ensure that absolutely NO emails are automatically marked as junk & NO emails are moved to the Junk folder? I would greatly appreciate help with this issue. Thank you!

Hello,

Today my @yahoo.com email address started re-directing me to account.rogersmembercentre.com for login. The account was working normally ever since I installed Thunderbird email client. I tried removing the account, and when attempting to add it back in...same redirection.

The account itself has nothing to do with Rogers. Never has. It was created directly with Yahoo long before Rogers teamed up with them.

Is this a glitch in Thunderbird, or is it something with Yahoo's servers?

In the last few weeks I can't send an email list using Thunderbird on my PC or Apple mail on my IPAD to more than 5 people and it's not the client server or my security apps. For Thunderbird I get a "1550 error", even for a small list of 8 people. The 6th plus rest of the addresses always come up as not valid even though I can send a singular message message to each of the addresses. For OS I get " X...is not a valid email address and has been rejected by the server." 1) I've talked to server support and when I use their web email (a pain), everything goes through. I have enough space on the server. I'm supposed to be able to send a list with 99 people on it. They say this test proves it is Thunderbird's problem but I wonder why it is happening on OS with Apple mail, too. 2) I talked to my security company McAfee and when we deleted the app I still had the problem. 3) I deleted Thunderbird from my PC and added it back again and still had the problem. 4)The server company suggested that I talk to Thunderbird about the PC and for OS delete the Apple mail app completely , not just remove the bothersome account and then try with a new app. This seems scary to me, as I will lose years worth of collected address and contacts. I recently migrated my files from a Windows 10 to Windows 11 computer. Since doing so, I am unable to send emails from one of the two email accounts I have. I can receive OK, but when I try to send I get an error message that says "Login to server mail.sonic.net with username paris2@sonic.net failed." Fro there it gets worse, asking for password input that it won't accept even though all my other devices (as well as the old computer) are fine with it. Sonic is not reading anything from their end, so they are unable to offer any help and anything Google provides as help in incorrect and doesn't work.

In the past, I was able to select a large amount of emails, and then by clicking the archive button, all messages would be archived in their proper year. Now, this function does not work, and only archives a few at at time.

For example, I select several thousand messages and then click archive, and only 25 messages will archive. I must repeat the step over and over.

I use to be to do this on a much larger scale. Any help would be appreciated.

I am really really distraught right now. It took me two weeks to get the time and focus to write a long reply to a company's nice email to me. Stayed up till 2am to write it. Deliberately wanted to re-read it in the morning before sending. Gone. Nowhere to be found. I pressed "Save to draft" before closing my laptop. But not saved. This account actually has a "draft" folder, unlike most of my other accounts in Thunderbird, which I also cannot figure out and no one has helped me with.

I’m using Thunderbird 115.6.0 (Build ID 20231215200246) on Windows 7 with Gmail IMAP. Since 12th September 2025, emails from two specific senders (legal contacts) are not arriving in Gmail or Thunderbird, whilst other emails arrive normally. These contacts were emailing successfully since January 2025, with long threads. · Emails sent from Thunderbird to these senders arrive (confirmed 16th September), but their replies don’t reach Gmail or Thunderbird. · Forwarded emails from these senders arrive in Gmail when sent from another Gmail account but don’t sync to Thunderbird. · Gmail-to-Thunderbird and Thunderbird-to-Gmail test emails work fine. · I’ve checked Gmail (All Mail, Trash) and the emails are not there. If anyone can help me it would be much appreciated.

Yesterday and today when starting Thunderbird, message at bottom of page: connected to server(inbound.att.net) Never changes to "checking for new messages" or "downloading messages" so I am unable to get mail. Close and restart does not help. Seems to be be stuck.

On a different computer with the same accounts, functions normally.

Hi team, I get such a pop-up(see the screenshot) when i want to send a mail. I click "Confirm Securaty Exception" but I get it again, and again and again. The credentials are correct as other mail clients like outlook or MailBird work for me. What could be the issue here, is there something that I did wrong?
