I cant install java, I get an error message message every time.

Every time I try to install java add on I get an error message that says "(path)downloaded file jre1.7.0_40-c.MSI is corrupt"> I have removed version 5, gone in and removed java from the registry, deleted the files on the hard drive, everything I could think of ... HELP!!!

Hi,, firstly uninstall jre from CONTROL PANEL->Programs->Uninstall after that download a new version of jre to the your PC ,and install it. may be works.

just had the exact same problem and it looked like the problem was with the temp files created from the online installation. fixed it by downloading and running the offline installer from their official site. here's the link. http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_offline.jsp

I installed the JRE (Wasnt installed before) and after installing it prompted me to install the java 1.7, same error as before when I try... I tried downloading the "offline" installer and it gives me the same error after it tries downloading the file from the internet...

To uninstall the Old Java version run this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301 and follow the steps

After un installation try the new Java version installation. Works like a charm :)

Hello. I have just fixed my problem. Ye, the problem was with the f**ing java auto downloader, he downloads the java installer very badly. After i tryed to download, and install the offline version, it was ok. Thanks to heygoatotis

Затем, внизу слева(в колонке), найдите и нажмите на автономный инсталлер(как то так называется). Вы, в итоге, окажетесь по этой ссылке: http://java.com/ru/download/windows_offline.jsp

Дурацкий автоматичкский установщик просто рвет пакеты при скачивании самого инсталлера.

Try downloading a standalone version from java.com and install it.
