Forgot my primary password Thunderbird 139.0.2 (64-bit), windows 11. Entered this string into the "console" openDialog("chrome://pippki/content/resetpassword.xhtml") but no joy. Tried without openDialog( ), no joy. Even tried uninstalling and re-installing TB, but still getting primary password dialog. What am I doing wrong?

Try this:

Open the current profile folder:

- TB menu > Help > Troubleshooting Information

- under the Application Basics section next to Profile Folder, click 'Open Folder'

Close TB and delete the key4.db file > restart TB
