Bookmarks stopped syncing

I refreshed Firefox on my Mac laptop. Shortly afterwards I noticed that the bookmarks stopped syncing between my laptop and desktop Macs. Both computers are signed in to my account with syncing on and I have tried the "Sync Now" prompt several times. Any suggestions for somebody with very little computer skills? Thanks.

Try signing out of Firefox and uninstall it on both device and reinstall it.

Thanks but not being much of a tech guy, I'm more afraid of the possible loss of data if I do that then I'm worried about the loss of syncing.

I found an easy fix. Turned sync off on both computers, restarted Firefox on both computers, turned sync back on and it started working again.
