Hi all,

I dowloaded a file "firefox-57.0.1.apk" from "https://firefox.fr.uptodown.com/android/telecharger" for my Android mobile phone. After installation, got a weird message in russian (did not record it) and Firefox 57.0.1 didn't work. I uninstalled everything, but now I am trying to check the source of this apk, as it might have compromised my phone.

The checksum SHA256 of this apk file is "dae3bfeabfdc7d48c9d2d240bfeea70faec15e02d3fce7be644f6b5640d7a722"

Can anybody tell me if the above mentioned SHA 256 signature is from a valid Mozilla source file?

Thanks a lot.

Best regards.

JRR

That is a unofficial download site for Android Firefox.

Besides Google Play if you must install the apk manually then get it from https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/android/all/ or the current 57.0.1 is at http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/mobile/releases/57.0.1/
