won't display video rfom certain sites

Allan

When I try to watch a video from the company below, the sound is fine but the video displays vertical lines. This does happen on some other sites but very rarely. As a matter of interest it works on Google Chrome, but I'd rather see it work on Firefox as it is my No1 browser. I am using version 58.0b7 (64-bit)

Regards Allan

Do you mean vertical lines like the streaks on old films, or you don't see the actual video content at all?

I can't tell if there is anything especially challenging about the video; it seems normal when I check in Firefox 56 and Nightly.

Maybe check: Fix common audio and video issues

At last I found the page to reply to you. I am new on this site.

Yes, vertical lines like an old video. See attachment.

I wonder if there is something special about those videos because this doesn't look like a more generally reported problem. I'll link to a thread about green videos just in case: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1185025
