If I bookmark something Firefox will only save it for a couple days then it disappears. All my saved bookmarks have disappeared. How do I stop this from happening? It does not give me the option to look at all my old bookmarks even after I open up Bookmark Menu.

Problems with bookmarks and history not working properly can be caused by a corrupted places.sqlite database file.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.

If you use external cleanup software that runs on a scheduled base then check its settings and exclude the Firefox profile folder.
