Names of web pages/sites do not appear on the tab label. the label says "Connecting..." with the green rotating circle. The page/site however loads OK; but the tabs are not labelled.

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Many thanks for your help. In safe mode all the tab labels & icons reappeared. I restarted in normal mode and all tabs were again properly labelled with icons; yet I made no changes.......
