I just installed Firefox 4 and I cannot get tabs to work at all. For example, If I go to a website, open up a new tab and click on it, it shows the page on tab 1. if i make another tab open and click on it it shows the exact same page on tab 1. In other words tabs are not working at all for me. I cannot even close Firefox normally. I have reinstalled it 4 times now. I need help.

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

The tabs are working with save mode. But I am still not able to go into the addons menu..
