Every time I log into MOZILLA_FIREFOX it asks to update. I have tried this before. I usually just hit that NO button...When I do click on the YES button & try to update...IT WIPES OUT EVERYTHING I HAVE STORED ON FIREFOX. EVERY SINGLE PASSWORD...SHOPPING LISTS...I'm done! I now once again have to go and recover all my information. Thing is....it updates automatically........so WTH is going on? I will start looking for aother browser...is this a scam or what?

"Every time I log into MOZILLA_FIREFOX it asks to update."
Do you mean each time you 'Open' Firefox, as I don't think of it as an option to Login.
What system are you using, Windows, Mac, Linux etc. and which version of the OS and Fx are you using.?
Hi,
Could you please check whether a new Firefox profile has been created? For more details, please see Recover user data missing after Firefox update or reinstall.
If so, that's definitely a bug, not something intended, and your help is very appreciated.

I AM CONSTANTLY BEING ASKED TO UPDATE FIREFOX Asking .."Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device" "firefox software updater". This effects my hard drive. So, I am clicking "NO" Firefox should automatically update in the system on its own, I've seen it happen on my screen. Now, anytime in the past I have done this firefox update...it wipes out saved infomation i.e. passwords, shopping lists, etc. I am very tired of this happening! It it doesn't stop requesting an update I will drop firefox & get another browser!
If you now upgrade to 152.0.2 (the latest version available), will the update prompts stop?
Enable background updates on Firefox for Windows when Firefox is not running https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/enable-background-updates-firefox-windows The Mozilla Maintenance Service must be usable (installed and not disabled). When installing with the Firefox installer, this is the default.
What is the Mozilla Maintenance Service https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/what-mozilla-maintenance-service
As for me, my strategy that's, Check for updates, but choose when install
