I was forced to use the restore disk on my old pc running XP; since microsoft no longer supports XP it blocks internet explorer {and bing etc. from any site that can be used to enable XP, such as avast, firefox etc. I downloaded firefox portable to a flash drive then stuck the flash drive in my old pc. I am trying to use it to load a regular version of firefox on the hard drive, but I keep being promted to refresh the portable version. Is there any way of using the portable to install regular firefox on my hard drive ? Thank you for any useful advise you can render.
