bookmarks not coming up in location bar

Hi I opened Firefox today and installed Lazarus 2.2 as an upgrade, and after restarting Firefox it turned out that all of my bookmarks had disappeared. I restored them and they are now all there but now I can't get them to come up as autocomplete options in the location bar. In fact, the autocomplete feature doesn't seem to work at all. I followed all the advice on here but nothing seems to be working.
