I keep getting a banner at the top of my email page, ATT/Yahoo, that says "This page requires a plug-in that can only run in 32-bit mode. Then there is a place to click "Restart in 32-bit mode" restarting doesn't help. I have a Mac, OS 10.6.7.
I don't know what else to add. Please ask me any questions for other info you need.

That means that you need to run Firefox in 32 bit mode if you want to use that plugin.
- Close Firefox
- Open the Applications folder in Finder
- Right click or control-click the Firefox.app icon
- Select "Get Info"
- Select "Open in 32-bit mode"
- Close the "Firefox Info" window
- Restart Firefox
Just an FYI... Issues relating to the notorious yellow plugin warning banner on web-based email sites like Gmail and Hotmail started popping up a few weeks ago:

The "Get Info / change to 32-bit mode" suggestion has come up several times as well, and although it may seem to work at first -- the issue soon reemerges. (So you may want to wait a day or two before posting a success story.)

For me it is the Browser Plus app that Yahoo installs from Yahoo mail - going to try to uninstall it to see if the error goes away and doesn't come back. According to the Browser Plus website, it only supports older versions of Firefox, not 4 & up.
What browsers and platforms are supported?
Currently we support these operating systems:
Windows XP Windows Vista Windows 7 Mac OS X 10.4, Tiger (Intel only) Mac OS X 10.5, Leopard (Intel only) Mac OS X 10.6, Snow Leopard (Intel only)
On Mac we support Firefox 2 & 3, Google Chrome and Safari 3, 4 & 5
On Windows, we support Internet Explorer 6 & 7 & 8, Firefox 2 & 3, Safari 3, and have experimental support for Google Chrome
Disable the "Google Talk NPAPI Plugin". It made the message go away, but I'm not sure what effect this will have on gmail features, so far none.
