My Firefox looks very weird since some days. I tried reinstalling firefox, deleted my user files, but the font didnt change. Just starting in safe mode corrects this error. here a link to a picture: http://www.glowfoto.com/static_image/09-124048L/7825/png/12/2010/img4/glowfoto

Does that error only disappear if you start in Safe mode ?

You can try "Reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults" on the Safe mode start window. You can also try to disable the hardware acceleration:

Tools > Options > Advanced : General: Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

Are you using the profile folder that you use with the 4.0 beta version with the Firefox 3.6.x version as well?

Thank you. Disabling the hardware accerleration corrected the error. I may have used a portable version of firefox 3.6.x, so that could be the reason.
