Despite about:config false setting, tabs keep moving to new window in firefox 151.0.3
I really can't add to my Summary other than it's a fairly recent issue, started in May 2026, possible April. About.config is set to False. I hope some has a solution - it happens when I'm dealing with live incidents.

rlj2, are you talking about links opening in new windows rather than new tabs?
If so, if you go to Tools menu > Settings and in the search fieled enter "Open links in tabs instead of new windows", is this option checked? If it is unchecked, does enabling it help?
Hello TechHorse, thank you but that's not it. I'll be working in a tab and suddenly find another open tab has moved to a brand new window - hope that makes sense. Any ideas?
rlj2, you say "About.config is set to False" but which preference are you referring to specifically?
That was browser.tabs.allowTabDetach.
rlj2, do you use any add-ons that might affect tabs? Some people have found that this preference doesn't always help in such cases.
