We need to install an add-on to edit subject line. It's listed on https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/search/?q=change+subject+line&appver=&platform=. It's the first one listed (Edit Email Subject (EES) This module allows you to change/edit email subjects Rated 4 out of 5 stars (129) 8,926 users Download Now Works with Thunderbird 115.0 - ) but when we download it, a message comes up saying 'add-on could not be installed because it's not verified). Correction. click the addons menu and enter edit email subject in search window and download from there. I don't know what is wanting to verify the addon, possibly an antivirus? It works as is.

If you click the download button on the website, it will attempt to install the add-on in the browser, leading to the error message. Instead, right-click the button, Save Link As..., and download the xpi installer file. Then, install it in TB:
