Hi, long-time user and fan of Thunderbird. One of my favorite qualities has always been it's speed, however the latest updates have resulted in a noticeable slowing down of just about every aspect, halting on opening and deleting emails the most. Surely some mistake?

Archiving old messages to different folders.

Thanks. One more question - how many messages in the (presumably large) archive folder that you had been using?

I think there were around 3000 - 4000 before I archived. Plus around 4000 old messages I deleted from a work-related GMail account.
