I am trying to link my Firefox browser on my laptop to Firefox focus. On my laptop it says to open the code scanner on your Firefox app. I can’t figure out how to do that. Please help

It is currently not possible to connect Firefox Focus to Firefox Sync, but you can do so with Firefox for Android, available from the Google Play store.
