Problem: I can't download any emails. Seems like I have no account.

Account: pop account with optimum

History: Recently, I lost my entire account (folders and emails). Mozilla stopped downloading my emails(IDK why, only this PC of 3). I asked and was told to delete the account and re-enter the info. When I did, I LOST EVERYTHING. NOT what I wanted.

I searched and found how to restore my stuff and it worked. I have all my folders and emails back. Now, I apparently have no account settings. The "get messages" button is inoperative.

I clicked on account settings and there's no place to enter info, like server name and password etc. It just says "local folders" In personal info, I found my login and password info. It is correct.

How can I set up a new account without losing my stuff again? Thanks !

The "Local Folders" account is literally what is says - local. You'd need to set up your account again. https://support.mozilla.org/kb/automatic-account-configuration

The "Local Folders" account is literally what is says - local. You'd need to set up your account again. https://support.mozilla.org/kb/automatic-account-configuration
