hi i have been using t.bird for years and have saved a few hundred legal emails that are important .. as i collected them i moved them into folders on my desktop .. now i have to sort them and the only way i can .. sort sift search and find duplicates is in the tbird program .. so i am trying to import the mail and attachments and folders back

i have used importexporttools with minimal success .. i tried to send myself copies via the net .. but that is over 500 emails ..

If you have a folder on desktop that contains a load of .eml files, did you do the following?

  • Create a new folder with suitable name in 'Local Folders' mail account to receive those emails.
  • Right click on that new folder and select: 'ImportExportTools' > 'Import messages'

A window opens.

  • Locate and select the folder on desktop, so you can see the contents showing all the .eml files.
  • Select/highlight the .eml files.
  • Click on 'Open'

This should import all the highlighted .eml files into the new folder in 'Local Folders' mail account.

Thunderbird Document (.eml) i did a drag and drop into a folder ... .. a lot of pdf (opens with opera )
