I am using Firefox 60.0 because It uses the lowest RAM and is stable on my Windows 10 32 bit system. Do any versions of Firefox newer than v60.0 use as low RAM as v 60.0 does? I have 4GB RAM and all versions I have used beyond 60.0 have been slow, crashed and used too much RAM to render it unusable. I reverted to 60.0 and it works well but I am looking for a newer version that is as stable on my system.

I'm running the latest version (Firefox 64.*) and it's using about 800MB of RAM with a few tabs open and multiple browser addons running. Idling, Firefox seems to use around 250MB of RAM. Of course, your system may run differently.

Right now I only have this tab open and Firefox is using 449.1MB with 5 Firefox programs plus Console Window Host and Roboform Editor Host running in the Task Manager Firefox tab. I'll give the new 64 version a try and let you know if it passed or failed.

@Jim you can't install firefox x64 onto a 32bit system that will not work. You need to have a x64 O/S to run a x64 firefox. What it sounds like your firefox is corrupted and needs to be removed and mozilla folder deleted and reinstalled again.

The OP is referring to trying the 64.0 (64.0.2) Release from www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ and not the 64-bit (Win64) version of Fx 64.0

I did not attempt to install a 64 bit Firefox to a 32 bit system. I don't think that is even possible.Firefox 64 used double the RAM that Firefox 60.0 and was slower so I went back to Firefox 60.0 and all is well. If Firefox gets it together and starts making usable new versions I will be pleasantly surprised.
