"Invalid save permissions" when I try to download a file using the "Ask where to save file" option.
This problem. along with "Unsecure web connection" issues began when I migrated from an older mac mini to a new one running MacOS high sierra 10.13.4. I have refreshed firefox, fiddled with my AVG antivirus, and generally wasted several days trying to get this browser to work. Thought I'd give you guys a reach-out before I abandon Firefox completely.
It shouldn't be this hard, guys....

Hi, sorry having issues. Just a quick can you please check the AVG community Forum for any issues reported of this. You say fiddled with but I do not know if you updated it and checked the forum out.
I am not a MAC person so do give a shout back if nothing turns up on AVG Forum.
See:
What location is set as the default location if you remove the checkmark on 'ask' ?
Do you have write permission to that location?
My "Downloads" folder. And yes, this is on my personal system. No problems with any of the other browsers I use, either: Chrome and Safari.
The two problems; (1) permission to write to folder and and (2) deciding that any https site I tried to access was unsafe both appeared at the same time when I migrated from an older mac mini the latest (2014)version of the mini. Another problem that appeared at the same time was that the mini kept dropping off the finder in my laptop. he "Unsafe" problem was solved by tweaking the AVG antivirus. The permissions problem seems to be a common one with Firefox. Seems like a biggish problem to me.
Fucking computers....
