To read the real history of a certain set of mails with same subject I used to take open message in conversation option. Now what happens is mail from a particular sender is missing while opening it as open message in conversation. Please help

obviously they are using a mail system that does not support the references header field, or they simply write you a new email without bothering to reply.

It used to be old copies of outlook that lost the threads, but there a a lot of poorly compliant mail programs out there.
