I have read all the cited articles regarding profiles and passwords, and I believe I understood them. However, the password in question (see following) appears nowhere I could see. Because of a change from Verizon regarding outgoing servers, I had to change to using my third-party provider for that action from one account. The provider required me to change the password. So far so good. Now, every time I start up I get a message from Thunderbird that the server has rejected the sent password as incorrect and offers me the opportunity to send a new one. I do this every time, and it works fine. Recently Thunderbird has gone directly to "enter password for [domain]" which I do, and which works fine. I'd rather not do this manually every time, and I'd like to be sure the prior password resides nowhere. I'd thought simply to enter a new password in "saved passwords" in Security, but that option seems not available (as I said, the [domain] in question does not appear in the saved list). I also tried looking via the config file, but could see no obvious way to proceed. This is NOT a problem for any of my other POP accounts. I am disinclined to delete the account and reinstall it, but will if that's the only way. All advice deeply appreciated. Charles Fogelman
