Hi, It may be an unimportant glitch which does no bother me, but you might as well know about it. Any time I launch Nightly, which appears as a clone of FireFox, il starts to install upgrades (5 to 20 seconds). It might be that these upgrades do not catch. My version: 52.0a1 (2016-10-02) (64bit) that is today. Bye Lionel

There are four main development channels of Firefox.

Release < Beta (b#) < Aurora aka develpers edition (a2) < Nightly (a1)

Beta channel build can have six to twelve Beta builds for a version on channel.

Nightly and Aurora channel builds gets checkins almost everyday and as a result gets a update each of those days. On occasian there can be a respin build that day. Sometimes there can be issues as a result until fixed, finished or reverted. Just like with Releases if you miss a update patch you will potentially get a full patch instead.

Since the version number and nothing on useragent does not change it can seem like a bug or glitch to newer Testers of the Nightly and Aurora channel builds.

Before the Firefox 16.0.2 Release the useragents used to have actual build dates showing when it was built. One way to see the current build details is to type about:buildconfig and about:support in the Location (address) bar and enter. These about url and others for version are listed in about:about

There should not be a update each time you restart the Nightly build the same day.
