Tablets in landscape provide a greater amount of space to work in landscape view, this affords us the ability to display tabs on the left of the screen. Tablets in portrait view and phones have a smaller visual area to work with. By placing tabs on the top we can provide more space to view the tabs. A very long time ago we had visual tabs on the left hand side, they were very small and hard to use.

i don't understand why in tablets the number 1 is on the left and mobiles on the right?

@FennecNightly I also find a bit odd that icon to display opened tabs is on the right while tabs get displayed on the left side.

well, apparently some people want to see the indicator on the left, others like you on the right. no golden solution here...

i just want to see the indicator and the + on the same side for mobiles and tablets because i used to click on them on the right on my mobile and when i use my tablet i keep going to the right

is not that a mess?
