downloading the dmg file - is it supposed to be 3 files?

So I'm downloading Thunderbird for Mac (not by choice, it's a friend's computer) and as far as I can tell, only one file is supposed to be downloaded - Thunderbird 24.6.0.dmg. However, at the same time, two other .dmg files named with gibberish started downloading, which really slowed things down. They were called 7lklr7th.dmg and jgc718on.dmg - neither of which turns up even one single search result in google. Are these part of the Mozilla download? They don't seem like they are (because then one would think the Mozilla install guide would mention it, or the file names would be listed somewhere on the internet), but then it's a bit odd they both started downloading at the same time as it.

there is only one file on the FTP site http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/releases/24.6.0/mac/en-US/

I know nothing of macs, but it could be the mac downloader runs three connections downloading parts of the file and then assembles the finished product.

Should be one file I would think. http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/all.html
