I move addresses into different groups and I see no easy way to copy and move them. your program makes you retype and then it will be able to move to other groups

You can drag and drop contacts between address books and into mail lists. If you want to copy a contact instead of move them you hold the control key before you release the mouse after dragging them to the new location. You will see a + sign appear to indicate a copy.
