I had to completely ditch my macbook pro, and am now using a windows 8 laptop instead. I have already started to use T'bird on my pc laptop, so how do I transfer my emails from the Mac-formatted external hard drive to my pc? I am using Mac Drive to be able to see the contents of the hard drive.

So that you do not overwrite the current Profile, I would suggest you create a new Profile using the Profile Manager and create a Profile Manager shortcut on your desktop. then you can choose to open on the desired profile to see the older mail.

Then locate the Profile folder on the mac drive.

Copy the contents of the Profile folder and paste, overwriting the default entries, in the new Profile.
