Ongoing problems syncing Firefox between Mac desktop & Mac laptop
(1) Is there a comprehensive do-over for syncing Firefox on my Mac desktop with my Mac laptop, without losing data? I’m primarily interested in syncing the browsing history.
As background, I’m having continuous, varying, & different problems syncing. For instance, sometimes the ‘Sync Now’ option doesn’t appear, occasionally I keep having to ‘Pair a Device,’ I frequently am asked for the Recovery Key, etc. Right now, the two computers are not synced.
I’ve seen many questions along these lines but the solutions seem to show up piecemeal & fragmented, & change frequently over short periods of time.
So, I guess my second bottom line question is: (2) Is there a way to sync Firefox data between my Mac desktop & Mac laptop that is better (more reliable, fewer ongoing problems, simpler, & more foolproof) than the built-in Firefox Sync option?
Thank you!

After years of depending on Sync, I have yet to see Firefox ask me for "Pair a device", "recovery key" etc on any of my Win, Linux, MAC, Android devices. This is of course no solution, but maybe a hint at the sources of the problem: how big is your browsing history? My quota is all in all below 3 MB. Also, a half-way dependable net connection is the pre-condition.
You can sync history by hand: Export it on one system - e.g. onto the cloud or your private LAN- and then import it on the other system
