what to do when site won't allow me to post messages

When I log into a site,,for instant, Fox News,and I want to post a message on 1 of the articles,,,,it won't let me. I am logged in,,,but it won't allow me to post. I just got a New Computer and can't figure out why I'm not allowed to post. I have NOT been restricted either. I used to be able to post with my old computer,,but not this one. Now, I can post on yahoo sites,,,,,but not Fox News. Thank you for any information you can give.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes). Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Hey Dbellca82. Thank you for your time and trouble but it was to no avail. I'm at a loss. I even spent time with HP technical support and although he came up with some good suggestions, it too was to no avail. Well, he got me to the point where I could at least log on now,,,but it won't take me anything further then that. Thank you again.....Joe.

Joe, could you capture via screenshot of the problem & select reply to attach image to message so that I can see what exactly is going on? Thanks

You can take a screenshot one of several way.

1. Hold Ctrl + Prnt Screen at same time, open paint in windows & Ctrl + v to paste image to paint from which you can save as to your desktop or local folder.

2. You can download an addon that makes the process easier, and faster such as the following two.

Well Dbellca82,,,there is no message or error sign or anything that occurs when I try to get on Fox News. See,,,,I'll log on, then I'll go to the article. When I click on comments, they come up but all the comments have the word "Flag" off to the side of each one of them. That's telling me that, I have been blocked or the page where the article is won't accept whatever it is that is trying to get in. Remember, Fox News site allowed me to be logged in,,,,it just won't allow my computer to be accepted at the page I go to, to post a comment. It's very frustrating and confusing. I got a New HP Pavilion and this thing is Majorly high tech. 1 TB of hard drive and all that.

My extensions seem to be Ok,,,,my theme's seem to also. Now, I didn't deactivate my accelerators. Maybe that might be it?? Tell me what you think, Dbellca82. Thank you for your help. Joe.
