I had a great Thunderbird Emoji add-on that is no longer supported. This.

It no longer works on updated Thunderbird, and shows it hasn't been updated since 2022. I'm on Thunderbird 140.11 on my Linux Mint. The image the plugin inserts in message bodies is broken. Is there another/similar add-on?

Try https://services.addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/emoji-sav/. Nice because you can paste one into the subject line and there are no required permissions.
