unable to install mozilla on my samsung Note 8
I am with plus net. My Mozilla email froze on my Samsung Note 8. I tried a reboot but nothing happened so stupidly uninstalled it then tried to reinsall. It appears to down load but will not install on my phone, A screen comes up with a description of the app but nothing I do allows me to install. I installed Plus net mobile but when I try to log in with my mozilla password etc I get a message telling me they are wrong. I have Mozilla on my lap top which works fine. Can any one help with simple language as at 85, I am reasonably proficient but not too technical. Thank you. John Ranger

Personally I just use the gmail app. But that is no real recommendation. I do not do much with email on my phone.

There is no Thunderbird app for phones. Thunderbird is restricted to desktop computers at this time. (Windows, Linux and MAC)
Thanks for that. Can you say how I managed to get it on my phone before I uninstalled it ? Just for interest sake >

No idea! I can not find it on the Google store. https://play.google.com/store/search?q=thunderbird&c=apps The project certainly has never issued even an alpha build for Android or Apple phones.
I looked because because of your post as occasionally someone posts software there claiming to be Thunderbird. I report it to legal and they issue take down notices for copyright infringement. Despite this (Thunderbird) being open source project the trademarks are owned by Mozilla and they enforce them.
All I found is some sort of purchase order product that looks completely like spam or phishing really, but the only review says it is nothing to do with mail.
Try Googling "Thunderbird for android" and you get lots of links to pages saying it is not available, but none offering to download it.
Go to the Thunderbird.net web site and have a look at the downloads page https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/all/ No offerings for Android or Apple
So how you got it I can not venture to say, given an official release of an android version would be big news in the Thunderbird community.
I am sure the product manager would not have bothered with this February email exchange if he thought a mobile version had been released, or was even under development. https://thunderbird.topicbox.com/groups/planning/T68972f2c6505827d/thunderbird-mobile-client-discussion
Thanks for taking the trouble to give me that full reply. Much appreciated. All I have to do now is find another host to use my existing address. John
