Thunderbird will not connect to google. Says username or password is incorrect. It is correct.
Thunderbird has started to give me problems accessing Gmail. It started this morning. I do not receive and can't send email. Sometime is works correctly. Tried to uninstall, remove profile and reinstall. Also deleted the Thunderbird app access from my google account. Now it will not connect at all. Says my username and password are incorrect. I know they are correct. I have got it to accept the username and password earlier today after about 10 tries before I did a complete reinstall.

Are you letting the new account wizard set up the account? What account type are you trying to set up - POP or IMAP?

From the Troubleshooting Information no account has been set up yet. You'll need to set up the account first.
I can't setup the account....that is my problem. Thunderbird refuses to accept my username or password. Sometimes it will but i have not got it to work in the past few hours. I think it may be a problem with google or my account because I tried another client and had the similar issues.
