1. Under the Security Tab in Yahoo Mail; In history of activities I can see i.e from which browser I logged in and from which geographical place. It shows Firefox correctly but since some time(I don´t know for how long) it shows a different geographical place not to far from where I live. It has changed because I can see the "older/former" place under the same history-tab(I always log-in from the same place by the way).

2. Yahoo Mail doesn´t seem to recognize my browser/identity in the correct way because Yahoo always claim that I have not logged in before using this browser/place! How did I understand I have this problem? I started to use an extra security-routine through SMS-service due to problems with the Yahoo-pages. To log-in today I have to use this SMS-code.

3. I have the same problem on facebook

There are usually cookies involved with a server recognizing you. If you clear such a cookie then the website forgets about you and you need to go through the process another time.

Did you recently clear cookies?

A detail like a website remembering you (log you in automatically) is stored in a cookie.

You can use these steps to make a website remember you:

  • Create a cookie 'allow' exception to keep such cookies, especially in case of secure websites and when cookies expire when you close Firefox.
  • Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: Exceptions

Thank You cor-el. What about the question regarding the geographical place where my browser is situated. It shifts and it is not far from here. The usal place is not showing up anymore?

I usually clear cookies from time to time. I probably missed one clearing here.
