I am legally blind and colour blind. I want to change the colour of the tabs bar only, so that it is not the same colour as everything around it. I have gotten sick of clicking on the background and not the tab. I would appreciate your assistance on how I can accomplish this. Thank you very much, Fraw.

Chosen solution

You can look at the Classic Theme Restorer extension to customize the appearance of the tabs.

  • You can check out the settings of the CTR extension via its Options/Preferences button on the "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" page.
  • You can find extra toolbar buttons and more toolbar settings in Customize (3-bar Firefox menu button > Customize)

Thank you so much!! This is exactly what I wanted. Firefox did have a clear, defined separation for the tabs, but in later versions it disappeared. I always use the default theme so it I knew it wasn't anything I did or changed. I am so happy that I have that clearly defined tab section that I could cry. I really appreciate your help, Fraw.
